On my own, riding Phil's Ransom. Weather was dry but temp hovering around freezing, the trail was clean and hard packed, no mud - a nice easy ride, just a shame that the free-ride section and the section after it (until you nearly get to the very steep short concrete climbing) are closed at the moment)
(HR didnt record properly because the GPS was in my rucsac rather than on the handlebars (my mounts are on other bikes)
With Craig. We did the xc route then cycled back up to the top and did the red dh route. I got past the tree root I normally dab on on both ascents, but dabbed elsewhere both times, so still no 'dab-free' ascent!
1st ride on the Orange 5. Rear end felt great, but the front seemed very twitchy, steering was all over the show... hopefully I'll get used to it!
Spent some time tweaking suspension settings, and moved the gear shifters and brakes an inch or so closer to the stem as I kept knocking my thumb on them.
(It was too windy at the top to try the middle jump at the freeride section). A mile or two after the freeride section we cycled up the road to the top of the downhill section and did the red downhill route - great fun!, then we got the Cwm Down uplift back to the top of the downhill and finished the singletrack route round the Twrch Trail.
Includes half an hour sitting under a tree waiting for a torrential downpour to pass, and 2 hours doing about 50 ! drops at the freeride section (small and middle level, not the highest one (yet...)) - Charlie wearing Edge
